I was in India on a spiritual pilgrimage when he died. I was not getting much news at the time, but I saw a sign board by the highway with press apply letters that said “Ex Beatle John Lennon Shot Dead.” Nothing more. It was so stark. My heart stopped for a moment.
Now 40+ years later I think about how much more music John could have given the world had he lived… how many more masterpieces like this one. But we have what we have, and we can be thankful for that. Thank you dear John.
