A fine album if not his very best. The All Music review ignores the title song, which is beautifully grim though admittedly not as searing as Ribbon of Darkness, but what is? If Children had Wings I'd also a lovely song. The rest are not the titans of his catalog but none are stinkers. Few artists produce as many listenable songs in a career as Lightfoot delivers here.
