About Dudley Smith And His New Katzenjammer Steel Band

Steel Pan musician from Trinidad and Tobago. He was a member of Rising Sun (Belmont) when he was one of twelve selected to perform as the Trinidad All-Steel Percussion Orchestra (TASPO) at the 1951 Festival of Britain. He won the soloist competition at Trinidad's first Steelband Music Festival in 1952. He began performing and recording in The Bahamas about 1958.
